SHANGRI-LA SINGAPORE

time really flies, it flies to fast without you realising it. it's been 3 weeks since i worked at Shangri-La Singapore, time was hard and i met many many new people. i was attached to the Cold Kitchen, i thought it was like the end of life, cause i always pray that i don't go in there and look at fruits and vegetables all day. BUT! I WAS WRONG! Garde Manger(cold kitchen) is the core of the food supply, inside the cold kitchen, we have the aunties doing the fruits for The Line(buffet Station) and us, doing the fruits platter, sandwiches, cold cuts, finger food, and many many more. we have to get ready the mis en place(items to be pack or set up ready for later or tomorrow) for later or tomorrow. ALL THE CHEF IN THE SMALL CONFINE AREA, WORKS AT THE SPEED OF LIGHT. I'M NOT EXAGGERATING, we have Chef Bernard(Sous Chef 54) who cuts fruits or whatever at the speed of i don't know how to explain. it's so fast! and Chef Christopher(Sous Chef 26-28) do things so fast, that the item he want's to do is done in a flash. and 2 chef de partie, Jo(27) And Jin Bin(30), they are very fast at work also, very fast! and cook 2(rank) Thomas And Thena, heard that Thena(27) learn things very very fast and he works very fast also, Thomas(21-22), the Ang Mo type one, works fast, but not as fast the others i mentioned but still very very fast!!! and the rest of them are like Filipino workers, just join SLS(shangri-la sg) 2-3months ago.
And i have NikSon with me, we are from the same class, he tells me joke everyday, making me laugh like mad and stuff. he smokes! :(
i love talking to chefs, they tell me what they have done in the past and say not to worry, i have a long way ahead of me.
I WANT TO BE A SUCCESSFUL CHEF AND TELL MY TALES TO THE YOUNG ONES IN THE FUTURE!

i don't regret joining SLS and getting into the cold kitchen.
I'm not perfect, but i'm doing my best.

last day in astons!

well well! i have worked at upper thomsom Astons for around 4 to 5 months, can't remember when was my first day. time flew like a bullet in your head. it's like BANG, 4-5 months just passed like that. my supervisor Madelyn treated me Ribeye steak, cause she said that it's my last day working and i am so god damned grateful for it! thanks madelyn! and rong siew once again treated me grassjelly, she always treat me and i feel so guilty not treating her back. i probably should go jump down my house now, due to the guiltiness overwhelming me, JK! i don't even know what im writing now, all broken english. this is what you get for not studying hard in primary and secondary school.

today, Bernard Song almost got in trouble with Oscar Phang Yan Zhi. i heard that Oscar's clique played a prank on Bernard and took his phone away from him and hide it, so when Bernard found out that his phone is missing, he immediately looked for Oscar, because he said that he took his phone away from him when they are playing a prank on him.... so Bernard shouted in Chinese''DON'T THINK YOU SHOUT I SCARED HOR, I ALSO KNOW HOW TO SHOUT HOR'' then Oscar suddenly look at him and charges straight at him... so everybody was like, you know when a fight occur, people will tend to hold them back and push him away from him. hahaha, i was like, DAMN! so close! why stop him! just whack Bernard only! well, this is life, get use to it.

i just wanna life a peaceful and meaningful life. that's all i'm asking! C U PEOPLE... probably just talking to myself again lol ! hahaha

one of the days

this is one of the days that my life messed up, lend my phone to my friend, he accidentally lose grip and fell in a bowl of ice kachang, fell asleep in bus, accidentally dropped my phone, reached my bus stop, took out my wallet, my ear piece cover fall out and left it in the bus, WTF MAN!!! SERIOUSLY? dropped phone twice and lost an expensive cover. fish man. zzzz and today had IS and after that rushed to training ground. haha, working like a robot now. my brain has already shut down when IS is over. HAHA

i feel that i have to post this!! haha today is the first that i shaved my mustache!! and that's it :)

ARGH!

was thinking what to write here for like 35minutes...... and what's the funny part? i still don't know what to write. actually, i was thinking about writing my first day in SHATEC, but it would sound too boring. after that i thought about writing something about my sport, then people would think i'm too violent.... then i was thinking here and there. until now, still have to idea what to write. maybe i'll write something about my teachers O.O

Chef Samsom, a very handsome chef with blond hair and likes to share his extraordinary knowledge with us, something that WE never THOUGHT OF. an amusing, smart, creative, mature, strict and quite plump in size. well, i'll get fat somewhere in my life in the kitchen too. yesterday, he demonstrated how to tie/cut the chicken, cut/slicing beef, skinning the fish and butchering the crayfish in half. it looked like a work of a celebrity chef! no wonder he won so many awards in competitions! :O definitely proud and happy to have him as a host mentor and teach us culinary! :) :)well, i'm not sure about the other chefs, but i think he's one of the best in SHATEC!

the other one i want to talk about is... CHEF JAMIE, i think she's very proud of her tattoo she has on her body... it's like a sacred piece of art on her body, she said that only 1 student in SHATEC saw her tattoo before... well, i'm thinking it's some kind of jesus cross or something. but 1 thing for sure, she's really smart! she memorised the 48 questions and answers for the Hygiene test paper! it's like it's impossible? another thing is that she is funnnny very funnny, that time she said we are kind of lack behind, because the A class has completed to page 108 and we are stuck at like page 20+? and after every short sentences, she would talk alot about the stuff related to that short sentences she read. i think she forgot that we are still lack behind by alot that time. but her stories are really entertaining! :)

HOLY SHIT!

well, i have not been studying this few days, last minute chiong is always my idea! but, somehow it has back fired me! haha, expected anyways! mhmm, i have been very well and healthy this past few days, jogged with yin han, took insults from shristi and have a short chat with wei xin ^^... and damn, tomorrow i have Hygiene test and the day following i have FOOD KNOWLEDGE test. i'm starting to panic now! omg omg, god bless me.
